While I'm reminiscing on Hanoi and doing that write up, I thought you all might like a Kiddo Vlog. Enjoy and Hanoi coming.
We’ve been having some fun in the last couple of weeks since returning, but we’ve also had some tech hiccups. I’ve wanted to post more, but problems with internet and connecting to it have been a thorn in the side. Finally found a work around and solved the problem. I was going to post last week, but we were in the dark, so this will be a double post. Most pics at the end again, just to not over format as I go. Plus, between J and I, the photos are kind of jumbled and mishmashed and I’m not going through 100+ photos to select the best and rename them in order for this. Sorry all, you get the jumble, not the order. First and foremost, we have pretty nails. Kiddo was thrilled to get her nails done again. She always feels so fancy. Also, we found bagels. Like… REAL bagels. Not some approximation of a bagel. Nope. This is the real deal. Last, we made a new friend. This is Chickpea. She’s fr...
I started wearing glasses in high school when it was found that I have astigmatism in both eyes. For long years, I needed glasses for reading fine print. Mostly while reading books. Also while driving, as moving signs can give me trouble as well. In recent years, I’ve come to wear my glasses more and more. It’s not just fine print or moving signs that get me these days. It’s most things. I’m also finding that I have different vision near and far and that requires me to adjust or even remove my glasses in some cases. All this means that I’m getting older. Also, that I’ll need to get my eyes checked one day soon and switch over to a bifocal lens. I guess I really am getting to be a “little old man” as J is wont to call me when she is feeling teasing and playful. Kiddo has no such vision problems… so far. J and I both are wearer of glasses, however, so genetically we know that she will need at some point. N...
NOTE: Due to the large number of pics (over 100) and 2 vids, most pics and vids are at post end and they are unsorted because ain't nobody got time for that. I’m sitting on a train, cruising along at 348km/h (that’s 215MPH) and watching a large swath of China blur by. Kiddo is, by the way, loving it. We are returning to Shanghai after a few days in Zhangjiajie on the Avatar Mountains. They are so named because the film Avatar was filmed there. We got to see a lot of it and have some adventures. We also had a pool and we got little miss fish back for a few days. We also saw the return of “Crack Ball”. We’re not sure if she loved the National Forest or the pool more. LOL First, we got up at 4am to make our train and that was fine. We found a Starbucks in the rail station and had coffee and munchies. Nothing spectacular, but it was coffee and food, so we can’t complain much. Then, we got to experience the train. S...
