It bugs me when the bubble bursts

Over the weekend, J and Kiddo went to this cafe/farm thing.  They both had a blast and it was fun for them.  I wasn’t with them, it was just the girls, but that’s ok, I had errands and things that I needed to get done.  They did come home with the eggs that Kiddo picked and the next night, Monday, was a pick it dinner for Kiddo because I went into town to do some Visa paperwork for our China trip.  Kiddo was HYPED to have eggs she picked herself.  Props to the farm cafe, however, as the eggs were beautiful.  Cooked, they were even better.

Speaking of eating… Does anyone know where J and I can apply for a food grant for Kiddo?  The other night she crushed dinner of chicken and rice with green beans.  Last night, she ate a whole pork chop, more noodles than I ate, and probably a whole cuncumber.  Breakfast has been two bowls of cereal and some fruit, or pancakes and a granola bar, or something like that.  J and I are pretty sure we can hear her grow, if not actually see it.

As for myself…. After waking this morning to see The Brewers up 2-0 in the 5th, I was feeling hopeful and upbeat.  By the time I got Kiddo to school and checked the score again, it was 5-2 in the 7th.  FRICK!  The Brewers ended up losing and are out of the playoffs.  Again.  So, since game 7 against the Dodgers in 2018 (a loss and the day I stated calling for Craig Counsell’s head) the Brewers have made the playoffs ever year except one and have exactly ONE win to show for it.  Time to try something else.  Maybe get a new voice to lead this team.  One that, hopefully, will translate season success into more than 1 playoff win in 5 appearances.  2018- lost at home.  2019- lost at home.  2020- lost at LA.  2021- lost in ATL.  2022- missed playoffs.  2023- Sweep at home by a team that got into the playoffs because two other teams lost…. On the last day of the season.  Hopefully, going into 2024, they have a new manager, because I don’t know if I can do another year with Counsell leading this team.

I can drown my sorrows in beer and isn’t that apropos.  Also, this picture that J and I got the other night when I poured my beer and this cool bubble appeared.  It stayed for quite a while.  Long enough for us to get pics, which hasn’t happened before.  Just a quirky little thing.  However, bubble burst also goes with my brewers theme.  :)

Also, I made a friend the other day.  I almost didn’t.  This little dude was almost shoe goo.  I avoided that fatality and was able to move this guy along to safety and whatever fate was waiting.  Maybe it was another beetle.  Maybe it was cosmic peace.  Maybe a good martini.  I don’t know, but I hope his travels were enriching.

Let’s go, Kiddo… The baseball season is over, so we don’t need to check the Brewers scores everyday, but we can look forward to next year and hope for success and a championship.  I’d love to see one in my life.  To share that victory and that moment with you would be extra special, so I can’t wait for more and I hope hope hope to see the Brewers in a World Series game one day.  If we can make it to a game in person, we should.  Until then… GO BREWERS and I love you, Kiddo!  You too, J.
