Lets Go Kiddo

One of the things that changed this year is where and how I get my coffee.  I’ve written about and mentioned the place across the street where I could get coffee and lunch and just hang out to write the blog, emails, read, or just hang out and meet friends.  They’ve changed ownership and formats and now are a night bar and good for them.  Seems busy every night and I’ve been a few times with some friends and it’s a chill spot.   I know go up the Soi a bit and go to a place called Amazon Cafe.  It’s a chain, so that’s a bummer, but it’s at least a local chain (or at least, local to SEA) so I don’t feel quite so evil going there for coffee.  Nothing against my Starbux folks, we drink Starbuxs and frequented when we lived in the States, but there is something to be said for the local coffee shop.  The little independent place.  I always have heart for that.  It’s a small complaint and not one that keeps me from going, but I did prefer the loca...

Last year, we got an invite to a Thai Family’s Xmas celebration and it was a blast.  This year, that family was traveling and we had invites to a number of things or places, but we decided to just bunker down and do a family Xmas and keep it chill.   Xmas Eve was nice.  We hung out all day and just kind of did our thing.  The weather has been perfect these last few days (highs of 29ish (83-84F) and not too sunny) with a nice breeze and good air quality, so we’ve had the house open for the last few days.  It’s been nice.   With no where to go, we focused on ourselves and what we like.  Shabu or Hot Pot was an obvious for us.  That was a good time and we all enjoyed the meal.  As you can see, we have the home set up and it was a blast. Finally got around to getting the pics and vids from J after her and Kiddo went to the Science Museum.  There is so much here.  Seems like it was beyond fun and Kiddo is still talking about it.  I could do a write up and try my best to interpret J and the stories and the day, but it will never do it justice, so I will let the pics and vids speak for themselves.   NOTE:  I will be back to add more vids and pics later.  J got 30+ vids and 200+ pics.  I’ve reach some data caps and upload limits on the day, so tomorrow and next will get more added, be sure to check back from more fun.
