Delightful days
February break has been restful, so far. The girls have done some playing and some Mumma and Kiddo time, but I’ve had the same. In fact, the other night, J had some things to do and her and I were going to Plurn Dee for dinner, so I took Kiddo out and we got dinner.
We headed out and the thought was to get a Tuk to the front of Central and then walk over the foot bridge and there is a McDonalds over there. We couldn’t get a tuk, so we walked. Kiddo just was Kiddo and she chatted my ear off about whatever things were on her mind or leading me on whatever mini-adventures we had pop up. She was, as you can see, digging McDs and it renewed my excitement for taking her to In and Out in LA this summer. She was great and all about reading the receipt to see if it contained any "secret Ranzan writings" and then after that, since we walked back across the foot bridge to Central, we stopped by the Dairy Queen and got a mint chocolate chip Blizzard. She was thrilled AND she got to skip shower.
Also, last night, J went to climb. I had more Kiddo time, but this time is was just at home. We had some play time and the like before bed and then bed. Simple and easy. Kiddo was digging the extra Dada time and J got to workout and climb. Hurray for all. Kiddo and I got to talking however and we have a new plan for the summer. After we get to a ballgame and she can see a real baseball game, her and I are going to read Michael Chabon’s SummerLand together this summer. I read the book when it released 20 years ago and I thought it was wonderful. I always hoped to have a child to share baseball and that book with…. Come this summer, it looks like I will have that chance.
Outside of that, we’re coming to the end of break and next week brings back to school. It’s been super fun having J and Kiddo around this week and I can’t wait for the weekend to see what plans we will have and what fun we will have before next week.
I did, a few posts ago, mention the new market across the street. Plurn Dee. Its become a once a week thing for J and I. The food is great and it’s easy to let Kiddo pick what she wants and then J and I can eat later and get spicy or whatever we like. Not much more to it than that. It is, I will admit, better and easier (for the most part) than trying to figure out what we want, where can we get it, hoping Grab is on time, that traffic isn’t bad to delay delivery, and everything else. It’s just walk over, find what we want, order and then 5-10 minutes later, food is done and it’s a one minute walk home. Then, we can eat and chill and just have a night. It’s great.

Let’s go, Kiddo… The break is nearing it’s end. We know it doesn’t feel like it, but Thailand is coming to an end. New adventures await and then more new ones after that. Keep being the leader and we will elephant walk with you as far as needed. Love, growl, piccachu, and me and Mumma love YOU!
