Summer fun and the morning picture

A few more graduation pics to start things off.  Kiddo is just too darned cute to pass up the opportunity to post a few more pics.  Cap and gown, in her grad dress and munching on some sweets, and a few with Mumma just being cute.

Other than that, she was cuddly with Mumma today and it was too sweet to not get some pics.  I could just watch Kiddo all day.

Other than that, we are getting into summer mode easily.  Today was some pool time.  I needed to get to Tops and pick up a dinner protein, but I came up and splashed around for a while after I got back.  I have a feeling that summer is going to be a chill and good time.

The real reason I’m posting today is because of the picture J and I got this morning.  Tomorrow and Tuesday are going to be packing and getting Vietnam ready, so I will be busy and in go mode, but I have a little time today, so I figured I’d post something.  I wanted to post the drawing we got.

That’s a chameleon in clothes, walking on a road, carrying her water bottle, and next to the Ranza flag (Ranza is her made up language) and going to China to be on The Great Wall.  Kiddo then informed us that she reeeeeeeallllly wants to go to The Great Wall.  After that, she wants to see the whole world.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve never met a 6 year old that is so aware of the world, with the desire to see it all, and with an understanding that she CAN see the world.  She knows it’s possible, and likely, that she will get to see a lot of different and unique places.  She asked for a book with a map in it so she can keep a list and see all the places she has been.

Personally, I am overjoyed with this.  It makes me happy.  So many people told us before we left The States that “if it doesn’t work out…” or “If you guys don’t like it and need to come back…”. Adults can’t wrap their heads around that we are adventurers and explorers who would rather have a million experiences and see a million things rather than own a house and see the same thing, in the same place, with the same neighbors for the next 30 years.  Knowing that Kiddo has the same mindset and mentality is a joy.

Lastly, speaking of joy, we were having coffee and pancakes this morning and Kiddo was half way thru crushing pancakes when she stops and looks at me.  “OH!  Dada…. Look up the Brewers score; I wanna know if they won.”  I showed her the box score.  “NO!  Uggggg.  4 to 2.  Who’d they play?”

Cleveland.. the Guardians.

“Ugggggg.  I hate the Guardians.  Not as bad as the Cubs, but teams that beat the Brewers are buttheads.”

Couldn’t agree more, Kiddo!

Let’s go, Kiddo… There are now about 12 countries on your want to see it list and Mumma and I hope to show them all, plus a few more, to you as we explore the globe.  Besides, we can always use the internet to check the Brewers score.  And if we end up in Korea or Japan, maybe we’ll become a fan of a KBO or NPB team.  Let’s keep exploring and we can find out.
