What a decade

I thought about looking back and pondering on the last decade.  Then, I decided not to do that.  We’ve (J and myself that is) spoken a lot this year about looking forward.  Setting our sights and eyes on what’s to come, not what has happened.

The last ten years has been… eventful.  Married, kid, sickness and surgeries, global pandemics, moving across the world.  It’s been much.

However, I found someone to laugh and smile with me thru it all.  And I mean that 100%.  After our CA wedding, there was flight issues and delays.  It was stressful, but we laughed about it.  When I got sick and had my surgeries, I remember FaceTiming with J one night and she sent a pic of a potato turkey kiddo made and no matter how bad the pain was after emergency surgery on my abdomen, we still laughed over this goofy thing.  Quarantine in Bangkok during COVID and inventing Quarantinis, fresh squeezed from the box even!  It was always laughs and smiles.

So, instead of looking back, I just found the smiles and laughs.  Because, the day these were taken, we laughed and smiled a lot.  We still do.  And we’ve got a third little smile to go with ours which adds such a beautiful laugh as well.

Happy tenth, J.  You are still Stinky.  I still pigeon you grapes.  And I’m sure Kiddo will Suska whatever hug I could offer.  I love you.

Happy belated 10th anniversary! Sorry I missed the actual day. We were in France June 8-16 and I didn't have my [actual paper] datebook with me for the reminder. Mr. E and I still remember the weekend fondly as well and are so honored that we were part of the celebration and festivities. Love to you all!!! (including Poley and Snowball, of course)
