Night Spelling
It’s getting towards the end of another long school year. Both J and Kiddo are getting towards the end of it and you can tell. Last night, J went out and got a massage and I was happy to have set that up for her and then give her coverage to go. It was Kiddo time and that’s good times.
We were just playing and having a time of it. Little Cup o’ Stew needed some stitches so we needed to get Doc Fix-It-Up in the house. It was just a redo of some stitches that Poley had done. It was on the fly and all he had to stitch with was ham that had been cut into small strips. Don’t ask me. So, being the Pharmaseat in the house, I was in charge of alconol and sleepy shots and Kiddo did the stitching and cutting and… well, we also needed to spoon out some of the blood that had gotten into the wound with the ham stitches. Again, don’t ask me. LOL
We finished that and Kiddo wanted to make a blog video. So, here y’all go.
As for the why… Again I’ll go with Don’t ask me.
Also, we got Kiddo some new jammies. She got to show them off and try them on and give them a test sleep. How’d they sleep… Oh, we’ll get there.
We played a little more. Then it was time to brush teeth and do allergy meds and all that. Now, J going to get a massage is not a new thing. We’ve been doing this for about 2.5 years now. As noted yesterday, we always pop in to kiss and love the Kiddo when we get home. I reassure Kiddo of this with tuck ins and loves.
30 seconds after I leave the room… Heeeerrrrreeee’s JOHNNY!
Solved that problem.
15 minutes later……. <cue the band>
Sigh!
So, it’s going to be one of those nights?
Again, I dealt with Kiddo and her issue and all was right in life. I got her tucked and fluffed in and kissed and loved and hugged and every other little thing that she needed and told her, “I’m doing video games. Mumma will be home in approx 67 minutes. She will come in. We both will. And if you are still awake, you can hang with Mumma while she flosses and brushes. Deal?”
She even shook on it.
As promised, about 70 minutes later, in walks J. We have a 90 second recon of the night and then we head in, to kiss little miss.
I think the new jammies work. HAHA
After that, J and I chatted for a minute or five and then she headed off to shower and bed and I finished my gaming and got to bed.
Tomorrow, we head to the Chinese Embassy here in BKK for our Visas and paperwork. It should be quick and not take all day. We just need to present ourselves in person and do digital finger scans and all. Others here (who are also going to China next year, although not Shanghai) have told us it takes about 2 hours. So, that will be easy and the girls get a half day out of it.
Our last week here is the real pain. We need to go to immigration to cancel our visas and J’s work permit. From what I understand, they just cancel them out of the system and replace them with a normal tourist visa and that leaves us 90 days to leave the country without penalty. It may only be a 45 day. As we are leaving 5ish days later, that should all be fine. The only caveat is that immigration, generally speaking, takes ALL day. At least it gives us practice for airports and flights.
Let’s go, Kiddo… It’s almost time and things are starting to rock and/or roll. A lot of it will entail waiting around and doing nothing, but we’ve gotten good at that with immigration and Vietnam flights and everything else we’ve done in the last few years. On the bright side, we get to see Thailand immigration one last time.
