Getting loud

For a long time I’ve worked very hard to keep focused on life and Kiddo and the adventure we’re on, but I can’t stay silent any longer.

His name was Alex Pretti.   

Her name was Renee Good.

They were murdered.

Don’t sanewash it.  Don’t pretend they “deserved” it.  Or “Just comply.”  

NO!

To everyone reading this who told us good luck and enjoy the adventure and who wished they had the skills or opportunities to come with or leave as well… We wish you all well.  We wish you safety.  We wish you were here with us.  We wish you the best.

To everyone who told us that we were “over reacting” or that “Biden won, just calm down.”  F**K YOU!

To those who hand waved their Trump friends or family members or spouses or people in their lives because they didn’t want to be uncomfortable or “lose a friend over something as silly as politics”…… F**K YOU!

Also, we TOLD you.  We told you that Trump wouldn’t go away or be held accountable.  We told you that he would run again, make himself a candidate and play the “political prosecution” card when it came to any kind of law suit or accountability.  We told you that he would push until he won, even if it meant cheating and that it would only be worse.

It’s like we had a crystal ball.

Four years of nothing happening.  Four years of Trump claiming political persecution because he was “running” again.  He told you what he was going to do, lied when called out on it, and gaslight you, and you still hand waved it off like it wasn’t real.  

Now it’s real.  People are dead.  Families are separated for nothing worse than being brown or disagreeing.  

America is now AmeriKKKa and has been taken over by a wannabe dictator who openly steals from the country and there’s STILL handwaving and sanewashing it.

I was raised hearing about checks and balances guaranteed by the Constitution.  Where are they?  It’s become a team sport and that Evil Team is in control and has no gumption or want to check or balance anything or anyone, let along the Orange Ball of Hate and Evil at the top.  

Who learned about or was alive in 1968 and the Chicago DNC?  Who learned about Nixon and Watergate and Ford pardoning him in the spirit of “national unity and moving on”?  We are so far past that right now that it’s not even comparable.  We have come to see wealth and status as a sign of intelligence instead of what it is; Luck.  Trump was born one inch from the cup and will still complain that it’s not a hole in one.  To say it another way, he was born on third and convinced that he hit a triple. NO!  He is not now, nor has he ever been smarter or better than you, just luckier in that he was born into generational wealth that was earned thru evil and sociopathic ways.

We are here now, in a place of evil with people telling us it’s not that bad.

Finally, to those who supported the man, or hand waved their friends who supported, or sat by apathetically watching and telling themselves it wasn’t that bad…..

Your fathers, grandfathers, great-grandfathers who fought in Europe and The Pacific against fascism, against hate, against evil, are ashamed of you.  You watched their sacrifice and turned your back on it and (not to over generalize too much) most of you have been watching, complicit, for 50+ years now, all in the name of not having to make a small sacrifice.  All in the name of being white and privileged and being able to look down on a brown person.  All in the name of NOT advancing and keeping your status quo as being on “top”.

You are complicit.  You are the same.  You are as broken as the vocal supporters, only a coward in the fact that you won’t say it, but you don’t dare to get vocal against it either.  As long as you can laugh at the “Mexican guy” who comes and picks up the desk or chair you set by the curb since they are “just picking up trash” you are no better and actually worse.  At least a Trump supporter will tell you they are racist and hateful…. You aren’t even honest enough to say what you are, instead pretending that you are better.

Stand up.  Say something.  DO Something.

Now is time.  Now is WAY past time, but redeem yourself.  Call out those who wear their red hats.  Throw them out of your life.  Call for Socialized Medicine.  Call for Transparency.  Call for the Epstein Files.  Call your Congressperson and Senator, daily, and use your voice and make it heard.  Us 30 and 40 and 50 somethings need to work every day.  You are retired with nothing to do.  Use your voice.  Make it so loud, so constant, so unrelenting that they (mostly your peers if calling a Senator) finally listen or step aside and let the younger generation FINALLY get a chance to take the wheel and drive toward the future instead of looking in the rear view mirror wondering how to get back to that.

Why don’t you come back is something we are asked by people from time to time…. Read the previous.  Then say the name Alex Pretti and Renee Good.  We’ll come back when it’s safe for ALL, not for those in Red Hats or those complacent enough to not scream those people down and have spent a decade standing by lying to themselves.

Let’s go, Kiddo…. It’s time to look what country will accept us and give us safety, security, and not a return to 1933.  It’s time to have some conversations about the future and it’s sad that at 8 you need to worry about this kind of stuff.  Mumma and I got you though.  We promise to protect you against those who are party to the evil or happy to stand next to it saying nothing.  We like that you know the difference and are willing to use your voice, that you can recognize that you would rather lose a friend that say nothing when that person acts poorly and acts evil.  You are better than 65% of AmeriKKKans and always will be and that is why we are on this adventure; to keep you safe and away from the evil, the lawless murder of innocent people, and those who can’t be bothered to do anything more than stand by and watch hoping that it will finally change.  We made a change, going to all these strange places and doing hard things, rather than stand by and lie to you and ourselves.  We’re glad that you are learning that choice is better than silent cowardice.
