The 1 thru 10 of this beautiful day
Sorry about the last post being authored by J. She was logged in and I didn’t catch it before posting and I didn’t want to go thru the work of undoing all of that, because I was with Kiddo post nails and I didn’t have the time or energy to unscrew that lightbulb. So, apologies for any confusion it may have caused. On the good news side, we now know how easy it is for J to log in and post.
I sit, on an absolutely beautiful Bangkok day, writing this. It’s 80something. Breezy. Gorgeous. You wish every day was like this. We’ve got the house open and just a fan blowing. It’s a day that makes you want to sit outside and just read or blog or relax. The only thing missing is a hammock and monkey butlers and fruity drinks… preferably with some rum or vodka or whatever in it. And it's also fine weather and a great day to make a new friend.
Maybe I’m so relaxed, however, because today has been a super chill day. J has a random Wednesday off. Not complaining about that in the least bit. Her and I headed out at 8:30ish and got some fresh juice. Then we walked over to the little massage place right around behind us and got a foot massage. After that, we headed home to shower and have a coffee and get ready for the day. Heading out again, we wandered to the beef noodle place just up the road. About 1/3rd of a km. Great beef noodle soup and Coke in a bottle. Plus, near the river that flows here, so it was great weather.
From there, we got a Grab and headed out to a little place I discovered the day J and Kiddo went to the Corgi Cafe. We got a ton of new stuff. Plates, bowls, glassware, and other little bowls or things to use in the house.
*** We got 4 bags of stuff. 15ish plates, 10 new bowls, glasses, etc. We still need to wash it all. Pics to come of our new stuff in future posts.
What we have now is almost all provided by the condo we live in, but come July or August, we’re planning on moving and seeing what we can find in a townhouse or just other living situations. Maybe a place easier to find or with better access to the city. A green space for Kiddo. Different market access. Or we won’t find it and stay. But, we wanted to have the option and also spice up our plates and glasses. Besides, now that we’ve got some proper Bangkok and SEA beer mugs, we can start enjoying at home with ice.
The rest of the day is just relaxing and enjoying.
Tomorrow, I have some errands at the mall, including finding an outfit to wear to Baan Tepa. We got a reservation on 11 June 2022.
I’ve joked that every moment and course will be it’s own blog post, but it may well be that. Such an experience to get a walk thru with the chef of the onsite herb garden that is used and featured in the 12 courses that will be presented that night. No menu control. No playing it safe with something bland. It will be a night of food and experiences with foods and flavors I may never have tried before.
It promises to be unique. Exotic. Strange. Wonderful. And singularly spectacular.
Lastly, I gotta pick on J for a minute.
The other day, we were talking about a TV show. Criminal Minds, I think it was, but could have been CSI. Some procedural show. It was one of those TV shows that you see and the bad guy or witness or whomever is a That Guy. Like, where do I know THAT GUY from, type things. Well, J got there first. He was an Arsenic!
An Arsenic?
Yup. Arsenic! Wait. Arson. Yup…. He did Arson. Why isn’t that right?
Arsonist?
Arsenic is the poison?
Yup.
Arsonist is the fire one?
Yup.
There’s too many words!
A whole dictionary full… some might say.
We laughed.
As for Kiddo these days, enjoy a video of her counting while playing hide and seek with Nanny Beer. One thru ten, just rattled them off. WOW, Kiddo. Impressive!!!!!!
