Buggin' Out

Today, we go to Immigration for our Visa for the year.  That’ll be what it is, but it will probably take a little bit of time.  That’s cool, though, because J’s school has an advocate for us and that helps keep things moving.  We have to just be there in person, be polite, and answer the questions asked of us; Where do you work, do you plan on leaving the country during the year, do you plan on committing illegal acts in the country… That kind of stuff.  So, all standard and just doing what we do.

Thankfully, we can keep Kiddo entertained.

See, J found an English library that isn’t too far from us and Kiddo is now a member, so we will have a lot more library trips in our future.  Plus, it’s near a ramen place that I found when I took my pants into town to get them altered before our anniversary meal.  If you’ve been reading this and know anything about Kiddo, you know that she loves her some ramen.

The plus is that we have a wealth of library books on hand now, so that, plus her other portable fun things will make the time breeze by as quickly as it can.

I was gonna blog about all of this on Sunday, but J needed to get some work done, so I was playing Dr. Fix-It Up and fell into Kiddo world in the morning.  In the afternoon, we had a playdate with a new friend from school.  She came with her dad and lil bro.  The dad was a nice guy.  Pretty cool.  But, it was LOUD and kids were everywhere, so it was hard to hear, to talk, and to really get to know a person in the chaos and minding of children.

The girls had a blast.  A bonus perk is that Kiddo slept like the dead that night.  Beyond dead.  You could have put her in the Student Section at Camp Randall during Jump Around while the Badgers are beating Ohio St. by 21 and she would have slept through that.

Just some random Kiddo pics that are cute.

Today, walking to school, we saw a millipede or some sort of many legged bug.  DADA!  Looklooklook.  This a a HUGE one!  I thought she was gonna kiss it.  Also, look at her.  I’d pitch straight forward and bust my head if I leaned like this.  Lil Monkey Miss had no problem with it.  She’s a goof!

Speaking of goofs, I made one last night.  I wanted to remember to show J Google Translate and the app this morning.  It was late and J sometimes doesn’t remember things when she’s tired, so I figured it was best to chat about it in the morning.  I went to set a reminder on my phone and I going to say, “Show her Google Translate again.”  Then, I figured I should say J, so I didn’t think maybe I meant the Kiddo, because in all honesty, I can see Kiddo curious and interested in Google Translate and being fascinated by it, so I wanted to be clear.  However, in setting that reminder, I misspoke and said, “Show hhhhhrrrrrrrr, aaaahhhhhhhh, J Google Translate again.”  Well, Siri and voice recognition what it is, it came out like this!

I laughed so hard I cried a little. Just the ridiculousness of it.

Let’s go, Kiddo… Heidi Abdullah Janelle today!  HAHAHA
