So much for waiting

As noted in the previous post, we did Immigration offices and that all went as it went.  Our advocate was great, but then, Kung is always great.  If she happens across this, thanks and you rock.  Kiddo, however, was just doing Kiddo things as we waited.  Made for a pretty easy trip, all told.  We got back home by 4:15ish (16:15) and we left 12:30ish, so saying it was quick is relative.

As you can see, Kiddo is just full on Kiddo mode.  Little bit of Lion Guard can get anyone thru Immigration.  HAHA

Shortly after we got home, however, the rains started.  It rained like this off and on until I went to bed at 11pm (2300).  I was told, by the lady we know at the cafe across the street from us that the rains calmed at around 0200.  Yesterday was just a drizzly grey day.  Today is a respite until 1400 or so.  Then we have 60-100% chance of rain with more heavy rain warnings.  Good thing it’s a Friday Family night and we’re just gonna watch a movie and be lazy.  Maybe after that, I can hang out with Janelle and then geek a bit.

Because, yesterday, I tasked about all day.  Refilled some of my meds in town, so that took most of the morning.  In the afternoon, I headed to the mall and Tops to get some groceries.  The produce people from the market weren’t at the market yesterday, so I needed to get to Tops to get salad stuff since I was air frying chicken wings and making a simple pasta for us.  Something green and fresh to go with it then.

At the mall, I thought of Kiddo.  The other day, a friend gave her a sleeve of stickers.  My lil Pony, I think they were.  J mentioned that it is a social currency at the school.  So, I was also going to look for stickers for Kiddo to use as currency.  I found some food ones and saparot ones.  Maybe J and I can look and find something better so I can get some guidance on what and where to get stickers that will make Kiddo the coolest.  Not that we are bought into using commodities to buy her attention, but a little greasing of wheels never hurt in situations like this.  A little output for some social returns.  

Walking to get to where I thought we would find stickers, I was walking past a store and I saw something in a case.  I stop and back track a bit.  I see this bad boy sitting there.  I ask for the price, as I’ve seen this in the past and was quoted double retail.  So, checking and I went onto the Sony Thailand website and saw their bundles, pricing, etc.  All matched what Sony online was quoting.  Also, another cool thing in Thailand is on big purchases, the store will fill out the warrantee card and info so all you need to do it open, attach proof of purchase, and give to a postal worker or mailbox and it is done.  In this case, they took a card and filled it out.  Uploaded that card with a picture, a copy of the receipt, and a scan of the barcode on the box and then the barcode of the serial number.  I got an email from Sony thanking me for registering my new product and that upon set up and bringing the system online my registration and warrantee would be complete and would attach to my PS ID at sign in, so please sign in with MAIN ACCOUNT FIRST before adding family or secondary users.  So, legit and not scalper pricing with full warrantee!  Privately, I was thinking January or February 2023 that I would find a PS5.  

I kept saying, one day I’ll be walking and I’ll see one for sale at retail price and I’d get that.  Well, I was walking, I saw a PS5, it was retail, I bought.  

Maybe tonight, I will geek, because… After set up, data downloads and system updates; especially with our blazing internet speeds (bad at best, f*%@#&$g awful at worst), I’d say I was about 65-70% done and downloaded and set up this morning.  That’s after letting the system work all night.  I shut it down and gave it 30 minutes this morning, then refired the system and got it working again.  Seemed that speeds were upticked this AM, so that (hopefully) helps and I can get everything in place today so I can start exploring this bad boy and it’s capabilities.  Also, Ratchet and Clank was only 1% downloaded, so I want to get that all the way downloaded so Kiddo and I can start up on that this afternoon or tomorrow or something.

So, that’s life today.  Tomorrow is a chill day and we all need a day to just catch up and be a family together.  This week was a bit busy for that.  And then on Sunday we have a playdate with another kid from school.  News and fun stuff to come as we have it.
