Doctors Galore post.

Winter break is winding down and it’s almost back to school time.  We’ve been having some fun this week and adventuring a bit, but we’ve still found time to do some important work.

Before we get to the work portion of the blog, go back to the last post with all the pictures and videos.  We’ve done some bike riding and pigeon shoo’ing.  Went to the Library and had brunch at Luka.  We got the the Get Growing farm and got muddy and played.  We had some mall treats and ice cream.  It’s been, if nothing else, busy but restful.  We’ve not done too much, but we have done.  I’d call it the right amount of adventuring.

For the work, well…..

Poley, Snow, and Snowball (our newest friend; thanks Santa!) all had some problems with hydration.  It’s a serious itous.  Kiddo, when she was sick in the past, needed to go to the doctor and they gave her an IV for hydration.  Well, the Polarbears needed that.  So, Dr. Kiddo and Nurse/Pharmaseat Dada needed to make IVs.  As you can see, we made the best IVs we could and got the bears hooked up for hydration.

Then, since that was so much work, the doctor needed a break.  Kiddo made the break sign while I was doing dishes.  She knows the AI rule, not that Long E or Helper E rule yet, so she used the rule she knows to spell the word.  Doctor Break.  I couldn’t love her more.

The break wasn’t the end of things however.  See, Polarbear hydrationitous can affect Polarbears but is contagious to dogs as well.  Sadly, some of the dog friends got to close to Poley and ended up needing IVs as well.  The Doctor has been busy this week.  LOL

Also, we’ve had other polar problems.  See, Poley has been on a “saying butthead” rampage of late.  He needed to go into pantry jail yesterday because of the buttheads.  But, he kept getting free.  Kiddo was unhappy with that predicament and kept using different pantry levels to try to find a jail that could hold Poley.  He kept getting free somehow.  Turns out, Poley is also Hairy Beardini.  We even tried “magic locks” and those still won’t hold him.  According to J, who was showering and getting dressed and ready during all of this, it was quite the ruckus.

Speaking of doctors, we will be seeing the doc in about a week and a half.  Doc J that is.  Her and Mr E are going to be coming to visit with us soon and we are super excited to see them.  They will be our first visitors in BKK and we couldn’t be happier.  On top of having friends come, we will also get to show off a bit of where we live and the daily life.  We also have a dinner at Scarlett planned and there’s always the possibility of a rooftop bar or cocktails elsewhere after the meal as well.  It’ll be fun to explore with friends.  Also, it’ll be fun to explore with friends who aren’t expats.  It’s just a different vibe.  With expats and people we know here, if we see something interesting we can bookmark it and travel back a week or month later.  With Doc J and Mr E, however, our time is limited, so we can’t just “come back next week.”  It ads a whole new level of Choose your adventure.

On top of that, because of Covid and life and moving, we haven’t seen Doc J in about 3.5 years.  J has not seen Mr E since our wedding.  That’s 10 years this summer.  A decade.  With J.  WOW!  But, still, she’s only met Mr E once and it was a busy day.  Sitting and just chatting and being with friends will be amazing.  Also, since Doc J is a constant reader, I’ll need to keep a deck of cards in my pocket in case we get a hankering for Cassino.  Because, I’d bet a whole dollar that this couple can beat their couple!  Yeah, gauntlet thrown down!!!!!!!!

Before I go, J and I had a few beers last night and just hung out.  Watched some shows. Chatted.  Couples stuff.  I did the beer run and I came across My Beer, by Singha.  We are Sing fans (our preferred Thai beer) so I thought I’d get a can to try it.  It was…. beer.  J had the line of the night, though.

“They should call it Your Beer… Cuz drinking that makes me want to say, that ain’t My Beer!”

Let’s go, Kiddo…. Tomorrow school starts again and I get back to work on my project.  Life is starting back up after these last three weeks, but Mumma and I are so so so happy that we got to spend it with you and be Kiddocentric.  We love you and can’t wait to see all the new things you are going to learn this semester.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous of which is, 'never get involved in a land war in Asia,' but only slightly less well-known is this: 'Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line! — LOL
