Lazily Busy

It’s been a lazy weekend of getting a lot done.  I guess, with J having Friday off, I’m mentally including that day and it’s tasks, but we’ve gotten some stuff done this weekend, even if it has been a lazy pace.

Even Kiddo pitched in and helped.

And opened a Pop-Up while she was at it.  That isn’t a wooden matching puzzle, those are ingredients and she needs to match them for flavors and goodnesses in soup.  Pork soup!  Well, you’ve got the vision, Chef…. I’ll just stay out your way.

Let's not forget the painting that needed to get done.  Ice Water Painting.  It was a mumma idea thing.  I'll post more with the end results later.

And she got into nature to hand pick sticks and flowers and leaves.

J wanted me to post a pic of our dinner last night.  Grilled pork chops (see: What is this a kitchen for Ants) with rice and mushrooms and a salad that I did a mustard balsamic vinaigrette with fresh garlic.  So, that’s what that looks like.

Lastly, on our visual tour, Kiddo going to town on some Dragonfruit (gâew mang-gon -  Gaow Mang-gown) and loving it.  She likes to drink the juice at the end because “It’s tropical”.  You can’t make this up.

Other than that, this week is going to be a busy week.  I’ve got a lot to get done, plus more cleaning to do and just some organizing in the house since J and I will be gone next Saturday night for our Anniversary dinner.  Nanny Beer will do an overnight with Kiddo, so I’ve got to get our room straightened up.  You know how it can get… The one book shelf just gets cluttered, the chair gets a shirt over it, then a book on it, then shoes under it.  That type of stuff.  Plus any last minute tasks before our night away.  So, that’s gonna take some time and attention plus anything else that comes up during that week.  

After that though, there will be a HUGE post about that night.  I usually try to keep my writing (pre pics and vids) to about 1.25-1.5 pages, knowing pics and vids of Kiddo will add length, but we’re going to have a 12 course chef menu and herb garden walk and talk.  I’m sure the pictures will be in the 100s and length…. I hope to keep it under 4 pages.  I might break it up into 12 mini-posts per course with a before and after and misc post totaling 15 posts.  Still up in the air on that.  Once we have experienced it all, we’ll know more, but that is what’s on radar for the next week or so.  

If none of that interests you or if you don’t like J and myself and are only here for the Kiddo, you might just have to come back in a week or more.  

Also, just writing and having coffee and looking out the window….. And Bangkok will Bangkok.  Saw a Bugatti pull into the hospital a few days ago and a bunch of guys in suits rushed out to meet it.  About once a week I see a Ferrari.  I’ll try to get a pic one day.
