Dressing up some street cooking

You never know what you are going to see walking the streets of Bangkok.  I’ve seen families of 5 piled onto a scooter cruising down the street.  I’ve taken wrong turns in the city and walked down alleyways where I was told I could find Boom Boom and fun times, pretty lady.  I’ve seen guys on motorcycles going the wrong way in traffic and swerving between incoming cars… with passengers.

Yesterday, I went to the market to get a few things and then headed to a new cafe to give that a try and see if I couldn’t mind a new place to work into the mix.  Instead of two blocks back into our area and the little cafe that is right across the street, I walked up the block to the corner and then went two blocks the other way and found a little place.  It was nice.  A little change of pace.  Walking there, however, I saw Thailand being Thailand.

Just walking, coming up on a support for a power line post and walking past it I felt something REALLY hot next to my arm.  Instinctually, I pulled away.  Was the power line shorting?  Melting down?  Should I bail out?

Looking over, next to a furniture store that is on the side of the road here, was this.

Yup.  Claypots with lunch (I assume) started.  Just next to a sidewalk and totally blind to those walking in a certain direction.  How does this not end up bad frequently?

Other than that, sometimes you walk over to the market and find the coolest stuff.

I was there the other day and I saw this booth that was selling dresses and shirts and outfits; mostly kids and women.

Well, for 100 baht (about $3) I found the cutest dress.

Isn't it the cutest?

I could melt.

Let’s go, Kiddo… let’s see what it is we’re gonna see today.
