Museums and the slow wknd video

It’s been an odd weekend.  Kiddo hasn’t been at 100%.  She’s been complaining of headaches and being tired and she’s felt warm.  We COVID tested her - negative!  Thank the maker for that.  We’ve been all over her temp and with a thermometer.  All below 38C (100.4F) so no worries there, but she’s not been really hungry either.  Last night, however, she complained of it hurting in her mouth.  No wiggly teeth.  Way in the back we finally saw it.  A small poke of white in the back.  Looks like a molar is coming in.

Friday and Saturday were both like that.  In fact, we were a little panicked when she hardly ate on Friday night and was hot and tired and just not feeling it.  She was so out of it that she volunteered to go to bed at 19:10 and we put her down and she stayed down.

It’s made for a slow and chill weekend however.  Not going fast or hard.  Just chilling and letting Kiddo set the pace.

Waking this morning and it seems we weathered the worst of it.  Kiddo is back and in full Kiddo effect today.  We played.  We ate.  We hit the mall and Kiddo helped me shop at Tops while Mumma did her thang and got some face lotion and make up and I got to entertain and shop with Kiddo.  I wish I got a video of her in the cart.  The carts are the free rolling kind.  Like an IKEA cart, if you are familiar.  Kiddo loves to help, especially when we only need about 4 things, because then she can be in the cart and not be too packed in and she can “drive crazy and drift.”  We have fun.

Fun for her comes in many forms.  She told J last night that she REALLY loved the museum that her and J went to a while back and Kiddo hoped that we could see something like that when we travel to Vietnam and then the next place we move too.  Libraries, museums, book stores, cafes… When it’s not playing, swimming, jumping, hiking, and moving.  Kiddo, you are my speed some days.  Even crazy driving in the cart at the store!

Lastly, after rest time today, I went in to get Kiddo.  Well, was I in for a treat.  I’ll let her explain it all, but she continuously amazes me.

Let’s go, Kiddo… A month until Vietnam and about 18 school days left.  You got this and we love you.
