Birds of a feather make a hairy nest together

Kiddo got to have an adventure with Nanny Beer yesterday.  She got to experience the fun that is a bird cafe.  Inside, there are birds that a free to fly about.  You can feed them and they will flit about and just land and hang out wherever.  Outside, there are ducks, chicken, and bunnies.  I’m told that the bunnies are “even fluffier than the cats last week…. That’s a LOT fluffier than your arms.”  Well, as long as it is in context.  HAHA

Other than that, a street fair is setting up in the same place at last time, on Soi 54.  That doesn’t mean much to most of you (or any of you), but we live on Soi 56.  Soi is Street.  So, a two block walk.  Then, it’s fair food, street meat, juices and other drinks, and then there is the kid and “games” area.  Kiddo is hyped to go, but J and I are hyped to watch her play and run and bounce and do some rides and kid stuff.  Plus, with her having more Thai and being a bit more comfortable using and trying her Thai, she might be better equipped to chat or approach other kids and have a friend for the evening.  

I’ll get pics as I can, as I’m sure J will as well.  So, look for those in the days to come.  I’ve been meaning to get a short video of the walk to the market as well, but I’ve been in the middle of some weird days.  Today, I left early and we were on a Waffle Lady mission, but we had Beer coming, I needed to get the kitchen straightened up a bit, and I needed to shower and still have a full cup of coffee.  I’d do it tomorrow, but weekends can be hit or miss for whom is set up and working that day.  

Other than that, the Songkran festival is approaching us.  That is a water festival and celebration.  We are told that there are Songkran shirts that we should get, so we are going out this weekend to get those.  From videos and what we’ve been told, the celebration is to mark the start of the rainy season and is like a big 3 day water fight.  The immature little boy in me that still needs to grab a ball from a ball bin and bounce it whenever I see a ball bin in stores wants to pimp myself out with the mack daddy of all Super Soakers and just GO OFF!  HAHA  The dad in me can’t wait to see Kiddo and just watch her play and enjoy.  I can’t wait to see what we do and how we do it and everything therein.

Other than that, it’s Friday.  It’s April. A year ago, I was recovering from hernia surgery.  Today, I’m drinking a coffee at a Thai cafe and pondering curry, kra pao (spicy basil dish with pork or chicken), or just market food.  I can count to ten in Thai.  I can ask for basic things; Bathroom, what’s the price, what do you suggest, cup, ice, left or right, and I have enough basic Thai to communicate basic directions and areas to most cabbies and Grab drivers.  Not too shabby for a year.  And if you think that’s impressive, imagine the Kiddo!  Because Nanny Beer was playing with her this morning as I was getting ready to start my day and Beer was using Thai, almost exclusively with Kiddo, and only using English to reenforce or clarify for Kiddo.  Kiddo replied, “Chı̀ sxng can - ChSia, song chAn” (Ch is a soft CH with a middle S and can is CH/Kish type sound, paste it into google translate and listen to it as needed) was what Kiddo replied.  I’m a Stranger in my own home.  LOL. It is REALLY cool though.  Hearing and seeing Kiddo do that.  I’m so proud of her.  And only a little jealous!  A year from now, she’ll probably be fluent and I’ll be proud that I learned how to say Extra Cabbage Please or Can I have my Squirrel Grilled or whatever silly little phrase I’m proud of, meanwhile, Kiddo will renegotiate the constitution.

Before I go….

A certain former POTUS asked Putin for a favor the other day.

Asking a favor, of a foreign leader, while we are in a conflict and while that country is at war with an ally.  In an attempt to win an office or election and weaken the United States.

Remind me again, how isn’t this the actual DEFINITION of Treason?  Because, by CONSTITUTIONAL DEFINITION it seems that is exactly what this was.  And we don’t need two witnesses, we have recorded words and testimony from the man himself.  

Let’s reapply the rule of law.  Because that’s what the Constitution is.  The rules.  Of law.

And if you disagree with that, good thing we have checks and balances and a court of 9 people who can determine that.  If no treason, then that can be determined.  Not by an AG.  Not by the man or person themselves.  Not by the prosecutors or defense.  The Justices.  

So, take the parties out of it.  They’ve already shown they will just vote party lines.  Let the courts see and hear and decide.  Because Justice is blind to party, creed, religion, and color (sex and gender should be included, but Congress is too busy with Taxing the Lower Class and acting in Bad Faith and the Senate is too busy doing nothing, so who needs actually governance) so allow the courts to hear and decide and set precedent.

And I know, I know… J6 was all Antifa dressing up as Trump Supporters.  So, why don’t Republicans WANT to investigate and find the guilty and bring them to justice.

Critical thinking.  That’s all it takes.  Look at the arguments.  Realize that they argue BOTH sides in bad faith depending on the day and then ask… Why do I believe this nonsense?  Was it Antifa?  Then why not weed those seditious terrorists out and punish them under the law?  If it’s a witch-hunt, then let the courts decide on that and exonerate your guy?  And if it WAS him, why don’t you want that man punished?  A full and fair investigation and trail would solve all of that. 

Besides, only people with something to hide take the 5th or defy subpoenas.  Or, Lindsay Graham and “Use my words against me”, but when that happens its, “You can’t use my words against me, I said that at a different time and in a different context.”  Again, bad faith.  

Critical thinking.  Try it!  Tell your RedHat friends to do the same.
