Hair, there, breakfast fare.

It’s been a busy few days here for us and that’s thrown me out of my loop a bit.  Yesterday, it was Chakri Day here and J had the day off.  We went into town to do a little prep and planning and gift getting for a certain someone who will, in about 10 days, be FIVE YEARS OLD!!!!!!!

Before that, however, we’re the Kiddo and Dada days and our special lunches and all of that.  However, in brushing and trying to tie up someone’s hair that day, I thought maybe I was seeing a bit many split ends and hair that just was getting a tad bit unruly.  So, off to the hair place we went.  As usual, the ladies were very chatty with Kiddo and complimentary.

Once that was done, we went about our usual Tuesday.  Mall walk there, lunch, errands, grocery, treats, PS5 hunt, and Mall walk home.  Rest.  Dinner Prep and then play time, plus a visit to Dr Fix Up....  I know I put my toe injury on Instagram, but if you missed out, a monster ate my toes and so Dr. Fix Up and Nurse Poley needed to do surgery on my toes.  Mumma home.

With yesterday (Wednesday) being an impromptu J and A day, it threw me.  And next week gets weird with Songkran, as Nanny Beer will do Monday and Tuesday, but then get the Songkran days off.  And J is off for the holiday as well.  So, next week is REALLY gonna be wonky.

But yesterday with J was great.  Like, super duper great.  We hung out in the morning.  She headed to gym and I showered.  Gym closed until late for Chakri, so J went to the roof for yoga and movements.  I did the market and other tasks.  Finally we could get coffee and hang together, but that was planning and talk.  Mostly about tomorrow and the Kiddo Friday.  I’ll blog it and not ruin the surprise, but Kiddo gets to do something most almost 5 year olds are years away from doing.  Hopefully it goes well and she is curious and talkative, because we’d LOVE to have some other adventures with her like this again.  Tune in Saturday/Sunday for a write up.

The day off with J, though, got us into town together.  I’ve picked up a few tricks and travel ideas, so I got to pass that on.  J picked it all right up and we had a helluva time with it.  But, as a reward for all our trying new things and having some fun, we went to a place called, Breakfast Story.  It’s been a while since we’ve had a good western breakfast.

Sorry the pics aren’t great, it was a little chaotic and our food was delayed and then again, so it was what it was.  The decor was fun.  The atmosphere was crazy, but fun.  I was wearing a California Brewery shirt shaped like the State of CA.  Here’s a pic of it and good lawd do I miss Ballast Point and their beers.  However, we were asked if we were just visiting from Florida or if we lived in Bangkok; By an American couple having lunch/brunch.

They left and our food finally came and it was good.  So good.  A three egg omelet with mushrooms, sausage, cheddar and goat cheeses, and bell peppers for J.  The Breakfast Poutine for me.  She had the Cold Brew Americano style, I had the cold brew Latte style.  Then we headed off to EmQuartier and Siam Paragon for birthday gifts and treats for the Kiddo.  We got some stuff and ideas and I am finalizing some of that today and some later next week.

We just got to have an adult day where we could walk and do and eat in our own way and not on Kiddo time or talk in code around Kiddo when an idea comes up.  “Hey Mumma, what about a dough type item, only non-edible and colored, for Playing.  We could get shapes and simple machines to make shapes out of this fun fluff stuff.”

“Oh, yes.  I think I understand.  I’ll text you.”

Yeah, having a day without that as a parent can sometimes make a world of difference.  Plus, we got some cool and interesting shots of Bangkok and the train as we putzed about.  We might have even shared a smooch or two as well.  ;)

All the best to y’all and thanks for reading.  I’ll be posting as I can, but the next two weeks or so are gonna be wacky.  So, let’s go, Kiddo…. Tomorrow, the weekend, Songkran, Easter, and your birthday ain’t gonna celebrate themselves.

Before I go...

The other night, J and I were getting into bed.  She was getting comfy and turned off her bedside light and was getting sleep ready.  In this, she swung her blankets and I felt the breeze of an elbow but did get a solid blanket smack.

"Look out, it's like Pirates or Gangstas up in here... Elbows be a swangin'!"

"Pirates and gangstas????"

"They have a lot in common.  Elbows for instance."

Anyone want a wife??????
